Supported Living

Our Supported Living services are uniquely designed to assist individuals to live as independently as possible to achieve a high quality of life. Our services are person-centered, supporting each individual’s strengths and abilities. Services include: assistance with daily living skills, medication administration, housekeeping, meal preparation, personal hygiene, assistance with medical and dental appointments, assistance with managing and budgeting personal finances, coordination of transportation services, socialization opportunities, and community outings. Supported Living services are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Supported Living services are currently provided and available in the following locations:
  • Greater Toledo (Lucas County)
  • Greater Cleveland (Cuyahoga, Lorain, and northern Medina Counties)
  • Greater Lima (Allen, Auglaize, and Putnam Counties)
  • Greater Columbus (Franklin, Fairfield, and Delaware Counties)
  • Greater Dayton (Montgomery and Greene Counties)
  • Greater Cincinnati (Hamilton, Warren, and Butler Counties)

Adult Day Services

Our Adult Day Services are as unique as the individuals who participate in our programs. Each location provides social, recreational, and habilitation services in a creative and nurturing environment, tailored to meet the needs of the individuals served. Each service location provides participants opportunities to learn and socialize, both within the program location and in the community. Adult Day Services programming provides opportunities to:
  • create works of art and craft projects at varying skill levels
  • participate in individual and group games and activities, such as interactive video games
  • participate in meal preparation
  • listen and learn from outside speakers and presenters on a variety of topics
  • participate in sensory based activities
  • participate in community activities, including volunteerism
  • obtain skills in activities of daily living
  • transition services
Adult Day Services are typically available Monday through Friday, between 8a.m. and 4p.m. Schedules vary by service location. Adult Day Services are currently provided and available in the following locations:
  • Toledo
  • Maumee
  • Lima
  • Columbus
  • Middletown
  • Pickerington
  • Cincinnati
  • Lebanon

Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF /DD ) Group Homes

ICF/DD Group Homes serve individuals with more significant physical, medical, and/or behavioral needs that require 24 hour a day care and support. Our six ICF/DD Group Homes house eight individuals in each home to allow for a more family-like setting. Residents of our group homes receive assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration, personal hygiene, meal planning and preparation, housekeeping services, assistance with medical appointments, nursing support, and psychology services.

ICF/DD Group Home staff have received specialized training in the appropriate interventions and supports for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our ICF/DD Group Homes are located in throughout Cincinnati at the following locations:
  • Carini Lane* (Green Hills)
  • Hanfield Avenue (Northside)
  • Longmeadow Road (Amberly Village)
  • Melrose Avenue (Walnut Hills)
  • Spring Lawn Avenue (Northside)
  • Thomwood Drive* (North College Hill)

Institutional Respite Services

RMS’s Institutional Respite Services are available for individuals who require significant assistance with personal care and activities of daily living. Institutional Respite Services are available at two of our ICF/DD Group Homes to provide 24 hour support for times in which the routine care giver is unavailable.

Specialized Services for Individuals with Autism

RMS staff have extensive training and experience supporting adults on the autism spectrum. Our staff understand that each individual has unique needs, and will spend the time to learn and understand how best to support each individual. RMS currently offers specialized adult day services in Cincinnati and Middletown,Transitional Day Programming Services, ICF/DD Group Homes, and Supported Living Services .
